Lake Rotopounamu and my new role in service to the Unseen Kingdom
As we left the lake, I felt the connection to the temple deep within my soul. I was carrying it within me. It was like the heartbeat of the lake had formed a cloak around me. On our journey’s last day, the Creator had increased the power of the experience. Now this was feeling more like a sacred quest. We drove up to the car park of Lake Rotopounamu, my body was humming with anticipation.
It wasn’t a hard walk but Katie’s body had only just recovered and my experience at the lake had left me a little physically wobbly, so we took it slowly. …. Extremely slowly. Members of grey power were overtaking us with their fancy graphite hiking poles. I told myself, that by walking slowly, I would enjoy the view more than they would. This possibly wasn’t true, but it made me feel better lol. We continued walking through the beautiful native forest….. slowly.
A heavy mist hung in the air, perhaps threatening to become rain, perhaps hiding something from view. On any other walk, this would have been enough for me to say “Stuff it, not worth it, I’ll walk this another time'“. Not this day, on this day we knew we had to get to the shore of Lake Rotopounamy and complete the connection with the Lake Taupo temple energy. We had to be certain where the light from Lake Taupo had connected to.
At the top of the first part of the track, the path forks. We tried the right fork, but the further down we went, the sicker I felt. My stomach was cramping, my vision was blurring, and even my breathing was laboured. This was not the right way. Eventually, I had to apologise to Katie and say I needed to go back and take the left fork. Forever a good sport, she came with me. As I climbed back up the path, all of my physical discomfort lifted as quickly as it had arrived.
As I walked down the left-hand fork, feeling healthy again, I may have muttered something under my breath about there being nicer ways for the Creator to show me the right path. This comment went unanswered.
As we descended the new path, there were glimpses of the lake. Every other time I have visited, it has been sunny and clear, with sparkles of light dancing on the water. On this day the lake was dressed with a low mist and an eerie stillness.
Lake Rotopounamu is fed by seven streams but has no visible outflow. It is believed that the water leaves through an underground stream. As the energy grew, my mind couldn’t help but remember that Seven is the number of sacred journeys. The lake is nine metres deep and covers only one square kilometre, which is small by lake standards. The name Rotopounamu comes from the Maori words 'roto' (lake) and 'pounamu' (greenstone or jade). It is said that the name ‘pounamu’ is about its colour rather than the actual presence of pounamu. However, when I journey through the bottom of the lake, there are Pounamu (jade) pathways that consciousness can follow.
Many believe that Lake Rotopounamu is the second chakra of the planet. For me, it feels more like the heart.
As we walked onto the small beach at the bottom of the track, the energy that had come from the temple at Lake Taupos’ ‘Motutere Bay, began to strengthen and fully activate. We both stood in the water and allowed ourselves to be anchor points for the bridge of light that had risen up from the temple in Lake Taupo.
A gap appeared in the mist and we felt the energy from the temple come through strongly. It went down into the middle of the lake and activated a smaller temple energy deep underground. I felt it travel down the Pounamu pathways, to the temple doors. It was like someone had turned the electricity on in a long deserted space. A vortex opened.
Our only job in this was to bear witness. The real work with this energy is yet to come. (Guidance hinted maybe in March??)
Lake Rotopounamu Freeze
I love the energy of this freeze, the vortex is clearly here. And it feels as if the lines are the many pathways down to the Temple Arniya felt as she made the offerings and blessing. Two Guardians have appeared atop the vortex, as if each were the head, and the rest the body with arms outstretched to receive all we had offered. The Temple is well guarded.
There was a feeling on the beach, that many other races had been waiting for this moment. They were standing within the forest, waiting to see what happened next. We however knew why we had originally planned to come here. It was time to give our last offering of this trip. We said our blessing and gave the crystals into the lake. It was done.
For now, at least, the offerings were over. This process was completed. As the weight of the soul contract left, I needed to sit down for a bit. The heartbeat from the lakes had settled. The hum of soul energy was quiet. My soul needed to take five and find a home for all of these new downloads of soul wisdom. So we sat on a strangely high bench and swung our feet as we watched the mist and lake. Enjoyed the peacefulness of the space.
Finally, we were ready to leave. We said our farewells to the lake. and started to climb back up the path.
With the Water part of the journey completed, the Unseen Kingdom were starting to chatter about me taking time to connect with them. Katie and I were walking back up the hill, trying to talk about what had just happened. All the while I am getting increasingly distracted by the growing amount of “whispered” conversations between all the different unseen beings of the forest tribes. All debating, would we stop, or wouldn’t I? If we did, where were they most likely to be included? If I left an offering, what would it be and what would their share be? Finally, I had to stop and make a proper introduction, if only to calm the noise of chatter down.
This was rather surprising to Katie, who at first didn’t realise that I wasn’t talking to her. There ensued a strange three-way conversation of me talking to the unseens, and then talking to Katie. Then explaining who Katie was, to the Unseens. Then explaining to Katie. where the Unseens were.
With at least 15 different races trying to talk to me and Katie thinking I was still talking to her when I was talking to the unseens and vice-versa. This very quickly became overwhelming and comical all at the same time. So I said to Katie that I would make a hand signal when I was talking to the Unseens, so she knew. I told the unseens that I would make a different sign in my energy if I were talking to Katie.
While this had been going on, the forest elders had decided on the tree they wanted me to make the offerings to. It was much further up the hill. As we continued on the path, the adults of the unseens had gone on ahead to get a good spot. Leaving us with a growing gaggle of youngins of the unseens tribes. They were all bursting with questions. So was Katie. I did my best to answer everyone's questions, without stepping on anyone or offending any of the races.
Finally, we reached the part of the path where I needed to go of the path and deeper into the forest. As I walked in, I could feel the tree pulling me closer. I walked around the side of it and there on the other side were some old friends from my childhood. I was so surprised, I blurted out “What are YOU doing here?” they laughed and explained that they had known this day would come and had always planned to be here for it. I could have wept.
Belatedly I realised that for Katie, this would look like I was talking to a tree. I gave her the hand signal to show her that I wasn’t talking to her. We both looked at each other and realised that perhaps the hand signal was a little superfluous. That perhaps me talking directly into a tree was a little more of an obvious sign. This caused us and all of the unseens to descend into giggles for a good while.
Once we had regained our composure I deepened into my heart and allowed myself to become more of the unseen realm, than the human realm.
Some of the trees cleared space and created a clear space around the tree. The tree seemed bigger, or perhaps I was smaller. I knew we were only on the edges of their realm, just beyond the veil. I could see Katie standing on the path on the other side. The elders, wise people and councils of the forest races had gathered.
The good thing about intuitive guidance is that it can give you a lot of information fast, when it is really needed.
As soon as I had deepened into my heart/love consciousness, I “knew” several things.
Firstly, I knew that I could walk through the door at the bottom of the tree and leave this realm for as long or as little as I wished. If I couldn’t have seen Katie waiting patiently, I may have been tempted. I knew that if I went, she would come too and I wasn’t sure she would want to return.
I also knew that this meeting was a formality. No real work would be achieved here. It was a beginning and an end.
My role as ambassador and healer to their kind was recognised. This work will always be part of my soul work but there is a new role for me on the horizon.
This meeting was the start of formalising my role as “human historian for the Unseen Races”. The goal is to start to interview the historians of each race. The goal is to create a body of information for humans to understand the cultural differences between the races. Over the next few years, they want me to write blogs, downloads and eventually possibly a book. This information will be a mix of their wisdom and a sharing of stories to open the doors of connection. I am to find others with the medicine for this work and get them to help me to record the stories of the unseens.
I made my commitment to this work. I gave two offerings of frankincense, cornflower, tobacco, a piece of sea glass, and a mirror that had been charged to act as a doorway between the tree and a door mirror I have at home. I gave an offer of healing or counsel to any who needed it. These small offerings were placed where they were reachable. One was set at the roots of the tree, for the earth forest folk. The other I place in a knot higher up the tree, for the air forest beings to enjoy.
After we had partaken in joy together (shared a few jokes and laughter), the meeting was formally closed with a blessing of our joy body. (the joy body is the second layer of the energy fields around the body.) I said goodbye and walked back over to the track. We restarted our walk back to the car.
As we drove back towards Wellington, an impatient Chongia and our crystal filled yurt, we reflected on the journey we had taken. We had only been away for ten days, but a lot had changed. Our friendship was stronger, and our connection to the Unseen Kingdom and to Water was deeper. The journey had deepened the gifts we had received at the October ascension retreat. We had spent a lot of time talking about what we wanted to do next. Most of those plans being achieved is why I am only writting about this journey in February.
We were both very glad to be home and into our own beds. At the same time, I think we were both changed by this trip and it has led to many other great moments being created.
When I feel into the places we made offerings to, there is a higher and happier vibration there. Often the Water Beings sense me looking and will send a wave of gratitude. I send my love back. This week I am doing some of this drive again. I will take different roads and make more offerings. It won’t be the same without Katie, but I will bring home water samples for her to freeze and the network of blessed water will expand.
One day we will have a whole team of people blessing water around the world.
It will be a good day.
Is this your soul work, waiting for you to join the journey?
If you would like to come on our next sacred journey, send me a message and let me know.
I am training people to be able to perceive the Unseens and support us on our journey to connect with the races of the Unseen Kingdoms.
