Reiki -What you need to know

I have been teaching Reiki for over 25 years, so I've walked the journey with a few people. There are a lot of people claiming to teach Reiki at the moment. You need to choose your Reiki Master carefully. I hope the information below helps you to understand what you are looking for.

Reiki is easy to learn. Anyone is capable of doing it, with the proper support.

There are three levels of Reiki Training.

*Reiki One- learn your invocation and hand positions. - One-day Training with the option of coming for a pre-workshop attunement, if you wish. Reiki One is for working on yourself, family and Friends. It is not a practitioner-level course.

*Reiki Two. - Refresh your Reiki One skills. Receive the Reiki symbols and learn how to send healing across distance and time. This allows you to heal the past and empower the future. This is a two-day workshop. You could start to see clients with Reiki Two and a lot of practice.

*Reiki Three and Reiki Three A

Reiki Three is the Master level of Reiki training. It comes with a very intensive year of energy clearing from the Reiki Masters. You are tried and tested fully over this year.

How to choose your path for the Reiki Journey

Some would disagree, but from my study, Reiki can not be taught over the internet or phone. It needs to be someone that you can get to physically. This may change in the future, but for now, the personal teaching space is required. When you learn Reiki, you will receive two “attunements”. An attunement is a process where the Reiki Master will sign the Reiki Master symbols into your body. This process is much like having a healing. It opens the cells of your body and your soul, to being capable of transporting healing energy without absorbing it yourself. You become a conduit or channel for the Reiki Healing energy. If we attempt to do this over the internet, we lose the higher vibration of the sacredness of the flow. This has always seemed odd to me because we can give Reiki healings through the net and other healings through the net. However, I know that the attunements are not possible over the internet because I have a constant string of people asking to be re-attuned, because the online ones haven’t “worked”. I have scanned the energy on these processes and there is no vibration of Reiki present.

To teach Reiki we also need to be able to “see” or “perceive” energy. Why is this? When we attune someone to Reiki, it’s important that we can 'see' the energy travelling through your chakras and hands. It is quite common for past-life wounds to cause a block for Reiki students. Ie, If in another lifetime, you were a Reiki Healer and lost a hand or an arm, then sometimes this would create enough of a soul wound that the Reiki energy would stop flowing where the break occurred. When you are attuned, we need to check that there are no such blocks and that your palm chakra’s are fully activated and flowing. If they are not, then the block must be cleared for you to successfully learn Reiki Healing. the master therefore must be able to “see” the energy. Perhaps they can’t see physically, but they must be able to sense the energy flowing and know where the block is. Make sure you choose a Reiki master who can 'see' the energy. It is not uncommon for non-clairvoyant Reiki masters to miss a block in the energy flow. This can cause issues later on for the trainee healer.

Reiki is a specific vibration of healing energy. Many people will tell you that they do Reiki when they have not been attuned. They are doing intuitive healing. Often it is very good healing. However, it is not Reiki. You can only be channelling Reiki if you have had a Reiki Attunement, in person, from a Reiki Master. It is a sacred process and therefore must be done one on on. The class may have a group. But the actual attunement is a one-to-one process. You will be asked to arrive for this process, clean and in clean clothes. You will sit in a chair, Ideally, you both and the Reiki Master will wear white for the process, to show respect to the Reiki Masters and Guardians. Your Reiki master will say an invocation and then open each chakra to the Reiki energy.
Each attunement will gift you a 21-day clearing. For Reiki One, it seems to clear most on a physical level and either the emotional or the Mental level depending on the person.
I teach Reiki two over 2 days and it give you another 21-day clearing. This will be mostly focused on the physical, emotional and mental level.

Reiki three gives you a year of clearing on every level possible, even some you didn’t know you had. For this reason, I include it in my apprenticeship program. Obviously, this training will cover a lot more than just Reiki, but it means that I know you will have my support for the year of clearing.

I have spent decades studying with the Reiki Masters on the higher planes in meditation and spiritual processes. I have done this because while I trusted my Reiki Master, I do not know the full training and integrity of everyone in my teacher’s master’s lineage. Therefore I needed to check that the Reiki energy had indeed flowed through each link in the chain and that everyone was a true Reiki master. I have checked that everyone knew the highest vibration of Reiki that they could at the time.

Your Reiki master will be your Reiki supporter for the rest of your life, so choose carefully.
